How the Process Works

1. Initial Consultation
We talk about your goals, budget, timeline, and permitting path. I give clear, honest feedback on feasibility and next steps.

2. Site Visit & Existing Conditions
I measure the existing home, document site conditions, and review any previous work that may affect permitting.

3. Schematic Design
I develop layout options and refine them with you until we have a design that fits your goals and budget.

4. Permit Drawing Set
I prepare the architectural drawings, code notes, and details required for building permit submission. Engineering coordination included when needed.

5. Permit Coordination
I help submit to the city/county, respond to reviewer comments, and adjust drawings until approval is granted.

6. Construction Support (Optional)
I stay available during construction to answer contractor questions, review details, and problem-solve unexpected conditions.

    RUSH "EARTHBAG" RESIDENCE

    The Rush Residence is an ambitious and unique project located in the serene, heavily wooded landscape of Southwest Washington State. This earthbag cottage was designed for a young couple who envisioned a home that not only provided a cozy and inviting atmosphere but also harmonized with the natural surroundings of their expansive property. With a deep appreciation for sustainable living and a desire to build something truly distinctive, they chose earthbag construction—a method that is both environmentally friendly and structurally resilient.

    Ghuman Home Remodel

    This was complete remodel of a single family home in Bothell, Washington. In addition to interior improvements, exterior siding was replaced with modern finishes, completely transforming the appearance of the home.

We oversaw the construction process, collaborating with contractors and tradespeople to ensure that the project was completed on time and within budget. The end result was a beautiful, functional, and personalized space that the family will enjoy for years to come.

    WEST SEATTLE HILL HOME

    This innovative home design employs strategies to overcome a challenging site to create a home offering a spacious and indulgent living environment. Located in the residential neighborhood of West Seattle, the compact lot is situated on a steep slope overlooking the Puget Sound. The structure is located in the center of the plot and is balanced between subterranean and above ground to maximize its size on the sloping terrain. CLT wood construction is the primary structural material for above ground levels sitting upon a concrete foundation and retaining walls.
